We believe that every student can be developed into a good leader. Students’ leadership potential can be realised through training and multiple platforms should be provided for them to apply their leadership skills. To reinforce positive leadership behaviour, student leaders are duly recognised. We make a conscious effort to ensure that every student is given the opportunity ti hold a leadership role during his/her time in Kranji Secondary.

The integration of Thinking Routines and 21CC in Service-Learning makes students more reflective when they engage in community service. Through our Learning for Life programme, we envision every Kranjian to be:

A Competent Contributor

An Innovative and Forward Looking Learner

A Kranjian Contributing Within and Beyond the School Community

In addition, through the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership by Kouzes and Posner, we educate students to be role models for their peers and to develop an innovative mindset to achieve goals. The foundation of the framework is the school values. Eventually when a student graduates from our school, he/she will be anchored in the school values regardless of the leadership position he/she has held in the school.

There are five tiers of student leadership, namely The Prefectorial Board, Student Sports Committee (SSC) and CCA Leaders, Monitorial Board and Champions (NE, IE and E&E), CCA Committee and Class Committee/ Subject Representatives.
